WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

At Makeup by Katina, we believe that no two clients are the same, so we specialize in custom packages that are designed to fit each client's individual needs. Use the Contact Form to let us know about your event, what you're looking for, and what your budget is. We're positive we can create a makeup package just for you!

WHAT DO YOU REQUIRE TO BOOK?

We need to know:‚Äč

  • What type of makeup application(s) you would like

  • If you would like to book hairstyling for the same event

  • The date of your event

  • What time you'd like to get ready

  • Whether you would like on-location or in-studio services

After we create your custom package, we'll send you an invoice to approve. Upon your approval, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit to be placed on our schedule, and to reserve your particular day and time. That deposit sets your appointment in stone.

ARE FALSE LASHES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

False lashes are included in the price for all makeup applications. There is no price difference if you would like to forgo lashes for your application - they are complementary. If you would like lash extensions, those are an additional charge.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

We do! We can split up your total payment however you want, but the total amount must be paid in full by the day of your wedding. Payment plans are completed through credit card transactions, and costs a one time fee of $10 to set up. DO YOU DO HAIR?

As of 2017, Makeup by Katina has grown to become a team of qualified makeup artists, hairstylists, and lash extension artists, to provide our clients with a complete beauty makeover for their events. One of the best parts about our teams, is that we can do hair and makeup at the same time, saving you time while getting ready for your event!

WHAT BRANDS DO YOU USE?

Makeup by Katina, and our approved artists, use a variety of brands to best suit our client's needs. All products are tested to ensure that they will be long-lasting and photo-friendly for all our clients. Typical brands for our artists include: Make Up For Ever, MAC, Temptu, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Face Atelier, Bobby Brown, Viseart, Anastasia of Beverly Hills, etc.

WHAT IS AIRBRUSH MAKEUP?

Airbrush makeup is a silicon-based foundation that is applied through an air compressor. As airbrush is silicon-based, it's resistant to sweat, tears, or rain that might accompany your event day. Airbrush makeup is specifically encouraged for our brides and pageant/fitness contestants, as it is designed to last for at least 16 hours.

CAN YOU PROVIDE SERVICES AT MY LOCATION?

Yes! We regularly travel to our clients, so all you have to do is roll out of bed, brush your teeth, and we'll take care of it from there! We are currently headquartered in Orem, Utah, and typically charge $0.50 per mile traveled. For National Park, or out-of-state clients, contact us for a custom travel quote.

HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN FOR MY HAIR AND/OR MAKEUP SERVICE?

Typically we plan for about one hour for hair & makeup services. Sometimes, if the look is detailed, unique, or requires special tools, it can take and hour-and-a-half or longer. Contact us with photos of your desired look, and we can provide you with a more accurate time quote!

I HAVE A BIG PARTY? CAN YOU PROVIDE SERVICES FOR ALL?

Absolutely! Weddings, prom, pageants, etc. are all very exciting events, and they deserve to be celebrated by all! We have a qualified team of makeup artists and hairstylists to glam up every member of your party. We even offer discounts for most large parties, so everyone can get ready within your budget.

I'M A BRIDE, AND I HAVE BRIDESMAIDS/FAMILY MEMBERS WHO WOULD LIKE THEIR MAKEUP/HAIR DONE AS WELL. CAN THEY PAY FOR THEMSELVES?

Yes, they can. We can accept payments from each of your bridesmaids and/or family members, so long as their 50% deposit has been paid for ahead of time. Keep in mind, you will be the one held responsible if one or more doesn't pay at the time their services are completed on the wedding day. We suggest collecting payment from each party member prior to our arrival on your big day.

WHAT IS COVERED IN A PREVIEW APPOINTMENT?

All of our bridal packages include a preview appointment. At your preview appointment, we will go over Makeup by Katina's signature 12-step questionnaire that will ensure that you will get a makeup application that looks good not only in-person, but on camera, and on film as well! Pageant preview appointments are very similar, but we will focus specifically on the differences between in-person makeup looks and stage makeup looks, to ensure that your best side is shown to the judges at every moment.

WHEN CAN I COME IN FOR MY PREVIEW APPOINTMENT?

We can set that up at any time! Keep in mind, that we try to leave our weekends for our brides, especially during the busy spring and summer months, so most preview appointments are scheduled on weekdays.

I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY SERVICE, WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

We understand that sometimes there are circumstances that lead to you not being able to utilize your appointment. Rain/snow, family emergencies, unexpected cancellations from the photographer, are all common circumstances we've dealt with in the past. With your 50% deposit, you are granted one complementary reschedule. Rescheduling is based on the availability of Makeup by Katina and it is not guaranteed that your desired date or time will be free. If rescheduling is needed again after the complementary reschedule, a second deposit is required to secure your new date and time.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

We understand that sometimes you need to make a cancelation. Unfortunately, the 50% deposit is non-refundable, simply because we hold your date and time in stone, just for you, and we may not be able to fill your slot with another client. If you have any questions regarding a cancelation, please contact us right away.

I DON'T HAVE TIME/I FORGOT TO USE ONE OF THE SERVICES I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED IN A PACKAGE, WHAT NOW?

It is the client's responsibility to keep track of what services are included in their packages and schedule them appropriately. Should a service be forgotten about, rescheduling those services is dependent on the schedule of Makeup by Katina and may be subject to forfeiture with no refund. 

HOW CAN I BE AN AWESOME CLIENT AND GET BENEFITS?

Makeup by Katina runs a referral program! For every client who mentions your name when booking, that turns into money right back in your pocket! We'll send a percentage of your referral's total purchase to your Venmo or PayPal as a special thank your for recommending our business. We even had a bride make back her entire beauty package within one year through referrals!
